Do a temperature check of your current employees. Engagement surveys focus groups, good old fashion conversations. Ask them how they're doing and be okay with their honesty even if it's bad news. Do something with what they've told you. You can't just ask the questions and move on. Really take the feedback and make changes. Now you know, so rather than sulking about it or saying it's their fault they feel that way, take 1-3 things you learned and work toward improvements.
Communicate to people that you heard what they said and tell them what you did to make changes. This one is important. If people don't know that you've heard them and done something with their feedback, they'll stop giving you their opinion. Communicate how things and changed and do it often!
